Calli Stipe
Founder of LFM, Montessori Guide & Mama
I found my passion for working with young children early in life and have many years of hands-on experience working with children from birth to six. I studied Early Childhood Development at Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho. During college is when I discovered the beauty of the Montessori method and when my passion for Montessori education began. My husband and I moved to Boise Idaho where I received my Montessori Teaching Certification through Caspari Montessori Institute. I then opened my own Montessori Preschool, Little Farm Montessori in our home with a backyard farm. This was a long time dream of mine and I loved every second of it!
When I became a mother to our son, Conley, I stepped back from the classroom and began to implement Montessori principles and practices with him from birth. This has helped to make parenthood a beautiful (but imperfect of course) journey for us.
I started sharing our Montessori journey at home on Instagram. Here I began sharing inspiration and educational content that might help families to apply Montessori at home in practical ways. I have experienced myself how much information there is out there on Montessori and implementing it at home can feel completely overwhelming. This is what inspired me to expand Little Farm Montessori into an online resource for the entire family available world wide.
Through my experience in teaching and from my own experience as a parent - I see that all learning begins in the home from birth, and that work is the most important. I am excited to guide parents in supporting their child’s whole development in everyday life at home through the Montessori method.
I love to help families through 1:1 coaching programs to find a functional and sustainable approach to bringing Montessori into their home so both you and your child will bloom amongst the muddy mess that is - life.
Outside of being a wife, mom of two and creating this dream job of mine - I am a lover of gardening, wildflowers, a cup of good strong coffee, ice cream, hiking, and creating memories with my little family on our funny little farm.
